You're Sitting on a Goldmine (And Don't Even Know It)
π Read time: ~3 min
Gold prices keep hitting record highs.
Lucky for those who invested early. But even if you don't own a single ounce of gold, you're probably sitting on a little goldmine without knowing it.
I'm talking about your own client interactions. The real words your prospective and paying clients say when they're not being "market research participants" but just⦠well, themselves.
Here's the thing: AI doesn't need to be all fancy tools and complicated workflows. Sometimes the most powerful insights come from just a handful of simple tools working together.
Consider this: Last week, I reviewed 10 transcripts from my recent AI Discovery sessions. Why? The course has been running for over 18 months now, with more than 100 participants. I'm currently preparing to launch a new cohort, so I wanted to see if anything needed updating.
Here's what I pulled out:
β Repeating patterns (clues for new course content)
β Powerful quotes (social proof in their own words)
β Updated persona data (what they really care about now)
That's market research done. Fast. And free.
Your Goldmine Is Already There
Most coaches and consultants think proper research means big-budget platforms, surveys, or focus groups. So they guess what clients want instead of knowing.
But your paying and prospective customers are already telling you everything you need:
- Free intro calls
- Coaching calls
- Workshop transcripts
- DMs and feedback forms
If you never look back, those insights vanish.
Behind The Scenes: One Example Of How I Do It
I regularly run one-to-one calls: cold leads, warm leads, and existing customers finishing a program. All recorded (with permission) using a transcription tool like Fathom, Fireflies, or similar.
Here's my simple stack and what each component does:
- TidyCal captures pre-questionnaire responses when clients book a 1:1
- Fathom transcribes the call and extracts key insights
- Zapier connects everything, listens for new content and sends data to an Excel sheet
- Excel stores anonymized responses and insights (no names, just answers)
- Langdock AI assistants analyze the data for patterns, pain point shifts, and feedback themes
Every call adds a new row to my spreadsheet. Anonymized. Organized. Ready to be analyzed.
Then, every so often, I drop those insights into my AI assistants and ask them to spot what's changing, what's repeating, and what I should pay attention to.
The result? Without really lifting a finger, I get a steady stream of customer intelligence that feeds into updated personas, sharper marketing content, and offers that actually land.
Could I automate that last analysis step too? Yes. And actually, with Langdock's new workflow features, this one is near the top of my to-do list.
Key Takeaway
Your next big insight might not come from a new tool. It could be buried in your last client calls, waiting for you to listen to what's already there.
The unused. The unexamined. The already-paid-for.
So here's a little challenge for you: Pick a couple of recent sessions (or record and transcribe some upcoming ones). Stick the anonymized transcript into your favorite AI chatbot, asking for patterns, themes, insights...
Have fun experimenting,
Elena
